The European Championships in Valmiera will bring together top elite athletes competing for prestigious continental titles, as well as young riders and amateurs participating in the challenge categories. It’s a chance for riders to gain valuable international experience, develop their skills, and race alongside their BMX idols.

During the championship days, Valmiera will take on a festive atmosphere — visitors can enjoy delicious local food and drinks, join themed activities, and meet BMX stars, including Māris Štrombergs himself.

This major sporting event is organised by the Latvian Cycling Federation (LRF) in collaboration with the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC), Valmiera Municipality, the Māris Štrombergs Agency/BMX Club “Valmiera”, and the Valmiera Olympic Centre.

Valmiera will be hosting the European BMX Championships for the second time — the first was in 2019, shortly after the opening of the Māris Štrombergs BMX track.
