Championship Titles Decided in Valmiera – Elite, U23, and Junior Riders Conquer Europe’s Toughest BMX Stage

On Saturday, 12 July, the second day of the 2025 UEC BMX European Championships took place at the Māris Štrombergs BMX track “Valmiera”. The strongest athletes from across Europe lined up at the start in the Championship categories – Boys & Girls 15–16, Juniors, U23, and Elite.

The day delivered high-energy excitement for both riders and spectators – with intense finals and an outstanding display of technical skill. Gold medals went to athletes from France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Latvia.

Saturday’s competition clearly demonstrated the high level of European BMX racing and reaffirmed the Māris Štrombergs track’s readiness for world-class events. Latvia celebrated two outstanding victories, with Veronika Stūriška winning the Women U23 category and Kristers Apels claiming the Men Junior title.
On Sunday, 13 July, the European BMX Championships will conclude with the European Challenge 20” races, featuring the youngest age groups starting from 8 years old.
